This is my older build too, it's built from AMT '66 Nova Pro Street. It's the older release from it. I got this for free while back. It was built once so first thing was to take it a part.
Engine is 350 Small Block Chevy, that's painted by red. There are some little details like plug wires, throttle lincage and heather hoses etc. It's pretty good looking to me, headers came with the kit. I had no good distributor for this, so I made one from scratch.
Interior was too original styled... I took original seats off, and I added bucket seats from AMT '49 Mercury. Door panels where bad looking. That window crank and door handles were not good, so I removed them. I made the new ones. Dash is painted with orange.
Chassis was painted by orange. That was the only thing, it's left from that original build. Everything else is painted again. Wheels and tires came with the kit. I painted those GoodYear textes. I made from scratch electric fuel pump.
Body is painted by spray gun, Badger 250. Paint is Revell orange enamel. It's pretty good looking, no clear on it, no polishing or anything like that... Foiling and putting it together. I made new windows from thin plastic sheet
And the other taillight is made from scratch, because I didn't find that original one.
The basis for this build...

The finished product:
