I NEED HELP WITH SPRAY CANS & SUMMERTIME HEAT !!!

Now that it's summertime (well at least here in Tennessee), I am wondering about spray can finishes in the heat (it's supposed to be 96 here today). How do you get around the temp / humidity issue of summertime?

I don't have somewhere to paint indoors, so I am kinda of stuck to painting in our detached garage (yes, with the door open). I try to get it started before it gets to hot, but it's kind of a hard once the humidity gets to a point where it feels like it's to high, even though the temp is still not overly high.

I sprayed some Krylon satin black on some interior parts the other day (I primed these early in the spring) and they looked good, but when I tried to prime some of the body pieces this weekend with Tamiya primer, it seems like it was drying before it even got to the parts. The primed body pieces looked ok, but there's powdered primer (for lack of a better term) on them, that if I can dust off. I don't know if its overspray from painting the other parts or it's just drying to quickly.

Do I need to switch to a primer that may be considered more automotive? I don't want to have to wait until fall to paint and I am trying to get away from prepainted bodies. I almost wondered if I needed to try to cool the spray can before using it, kind of the reverse of wintertime painting.

Thanks in advance for your input!!!
